LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System)

When unexpected lane departures occur or are predicted to occur due to dozing off at the wheel, the LKAS system helps to maintain the current lane by controlling the steering wheel.

The Lane Position Maintenance System helps remain in the lane by controlling the steering wheel in the occasion of an unintended lane departure due to drowsy driving. 
The system recognizes the current location of the lane and the vehicle through the camera attached to the windshield. When the driver departs from the lane without signaling a lane changing, the system uses an adequate torque on the steering to help the driver remain in the lane.
