FPS : Fuel Processing System
- The hydrogen supplier provides a required amount of hydrogen to the stack by controlling the hydrogen pressure due to the system output.
- We have concentrated on developing a miniaturizing technology while enhancing the usage of hydrogen by developing an ejector-only hydrogen supplier system.
Development of the ejector-only hydrogen supply system
Hydrogen, which fails to react to oxygen in the stack, is resupplied to the stack after a recirculation to increase the availability.
During the recirculation, the low-output section and the medium/high output section are mainly managed by the hydrogen recirculation blower and the ejector, respectively.
High-pressure hydrogen is supplied to the ejector to form a low-pressure area, increasing the absorption of recirculated hydrogen. We have been developing a miniaturized hydrogen supply system that has a smooth recirculation in all output sections by replacing the function of the hydrogen recirculation blower in the low-output section with the afore-mentioned technology.
The PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control at the hydrogen flow regulating valve
To complement the lowered recirculation efficiency (in the low-output section) due to the formation of the ejector-only system, the PWM of the hydrogen flow regulating valve is controlled, enabling a smooth recirculation of hydrogen.
