Metalastik® D Series Mountings are suitable forthe suspension of heavy equipment ormachinery where insulation against lowfrequency vibration is required with theadditional benefit of excellent high frequencyacoustic attenuation.
Applications/Features
The relatively large rubber volume ensures highdegrees of insulation against low frequencydisturbing vibrations.Differing stiffness rates in the two horizontal modesenables suspension characteristics to be optimised byappropriate orientation of the mountings.The mountings can be used in conjunction withadditional bonded rubber buffers to limit movementof the suspended equipment under shock loading.Parts can be supplied to meet naval specificationrequirements and also with plain flanges for drillingby the customer
