Overview
Optical fiber sharing systems allow many different wavelengths to be used for uni-or bi-directional transmission such as LTE, 3G, WiMax, WiBro and so on. When installing LTE network, it doesn't use additional optic track, but utilizes optic track for existing legacy network, so that it can save lease expenses and construct economical LTE network considering the time and cost. And because OCM is a passive device, it is not aware what type of equipment or protocol is connected. On the other hand, it doesn't introduce any additional jitter and latency, being completely transparent to the transmission protocol and synchronization. These devices are designed for long life service under the most demanding field conditions.
