Environmental-friendly antibacterial fill
Environmental-friendly antibacterial fill antibacterial filter, which was created by accumulated technologies and experience of KIMCO, has a powerful antimicrobial function of inhibiting the occurrence of legionella, staphylococcus aureus and other various molds. So, it eliminates concerns about bacterial infection at the same time, minimizes slime, which is the main cause of poor cooling tower system performance. Also, by maintaining high efficient performance at all times, cooling tower’ and its’ refrigerating energy can be saved. Likewise, for buildings in large cities, such as hospitals which are exposed to various pathogenic bacteria, and semiconductor factories, our eco-friendly and power saving typed fill material must be continuously operated.
Hydrophilic fill
KIMCO’s each cooling tower fill is applied by plasma surface modification technology. When applying a hydrophilic filter with enhanced heat exchange capacity, it becomes an excellent product that can solve the problem of cooling tower system’s decline in efficiency, due to the initial oil in the introductory part of the system.
Industrial fill
It is possible to install industrial fill where pollution of cooling water is serious. For example,
on cooling towers in power plants, petrochemicals, iron and steel industries. And industrial fills are sea-water friendly, ensuring with accurate performance by thermal design. Additionally, KIMCO ensures to provide the best maximum surface area per unit volume with the cellular type & insertion of functional pattern on the surface.
Fill and drift-control plate
KIMCO’s Cooling Tower system’s fill material is designed to induce the intersection of water and air and, to increase heat exchange efficiency. The fill material is shaped as a honeycomb, and PVC vacuum molded product and can be used up to 55 ℃. The drift-control plate can reduce drifted water to 0.001% of the circulating water.
Fan-cooler
To ensure thermal performance, we manufacture and apply high-performance axial fan with static and dynamic balancing to all of our KIMCO cooling towers’ fan-coolers. The diameter of the fan is about 10m also, the wings are made out of FRP drawn or aluminum. Fan wing angles can be manually adjusted.
The Water distribution system
The water distribution system consists of a header, a distributor, and a nozzle, which is installed between the fill and the water-drift plate, so the coolant can be distributed evenly over the fill material of each cell. Headers and distributors are made of FRP or PVC, nozzles made of polypropylene and have high performance and efficiency. Also, its’ large diameter, low injection pressure and no clogging allows system to operate flexibly.
FRP frame
The frame of KCL series cooling tower uses drawn FRP structural material. The flame propagation is equivalent to less than 25 fire resistance, and all structures in the cooling tower are designed to withstand wind loads of 146 kg / sqm. The diagonal members of the frame are connected to hot-dip galvanized casting anchors so, that large loads can be transmitted. The casing, fan top plate and fan cylinder of the cooling tower are all made of FRP.
Mechanical drive
The gear reducer is an orthogonal shaft type. The internal gears are of the Bevel or Helical type and satisfy the requirements of the CTI STD-111. The drive shaft is a bearingless type, and flexible couplings are available from the motor to the reducer. Additionally, Torque Tube is made of steel joint support type and of hot dip galvanized to maintain the alignment of the motor and reducer.

Automatic belt regulator
The V-belt is a structure that transmits power by the contact friction between the belt and the pulley. When the belt tension is weakened, the power is reduced and noise is generated. KIMCO’s Automatic Belt Tension Controller is designed so that the roller of the tensioner pushes the outer side of the belt. It can automatically compensate the tension drop to obtain the best power transmission effect, and the quiet and smooth drive effect of the rotary shaft can be obtained.
Refractory FRP
We completed the development of flame retardant FRP, which complements the fire fragility of FRP materials applied to cooling towers. Additionally, KIMCO has improved our technologies for vulnerability to fire by using the flame retardant FRP of the V0 grade as the material of the casing part.
