The SeaHawk is a larger version of the fully proven Stiletto design capable of efficient transoceanic deployments and long-duration presence anywhere in the world. The SeaHawk uses MSHIPCO’s M-hull® Technology to provide sprint speeds to 65 knots, radar stealth and a very shallow draft of less than 5 feet. It will also launch and retrieve up to four satellite vessels rapidly while operating at a speed of 20 knots in high sea state.
The U.S. Navy faces a changing security environment of smaller, more dispersed and irregular threats in the littoral with potentially catastrophic impacts. This threat environment calls for a fleet architecture using advanced technology to create smaller, more capable ships.
