SMS Drainers were designed for
- protecting workers from potential dangers in draining residual water out of the snowmaking hose and hydrant
- preventing water from freezing in the snowmaking hose and hydrant while or after operating the SMS in cold weather
- preventing unforeseen trouble caused by freezing and bursting SMS
- saving maintenance costs
The basic operating principle of the SMS Drainers are based on hydrodynamics. They can be easily installed and operated without causing any change to the existing systems due to the adoption of quick coupling connection. They are easy and safe to use. Draining residual water out of the snowmaking hose and hydrant will be finished in a time span of one minute or less by the SMS Drainer. The return on investment for the equipment will be achieved within approximately 2 years.
There are two types of SMS drainers that can be applied depending on the type of SMS and its nozzle. All of these are patented.
