Emergency Gas Turbine Generator
An emergency gas turbine is a small and lightweight prime mover. Therefore, it has less restriction on the place of installation compared to other power generation equipment. Since all of them are air-cooled, they do not require a cooling water system.
Equipped with a highly reliable fuel injection system, powerful continuous ignition system, and optimized one axial system, its RPM variation is extremely small.
Therefore, even at 100% momentary loading and load shedding, the frequency variation is less than 4%, supplying stable and good quality electricity. Since the emergency gas turbine is a rotating machine with no parts of reciprocating motion, it generates almost no vibration and noise and burns the fuel completely. Therefore, its exhaust gas is clean with less NOx and CO.
It is mainly supplied to hospitals, Internet data centers (IDC), etc. Recently, it has been supplied as a back-up power supply for nuclear power plants in the form of mobile gas turbine generator that is easy to transport.
