The W-Cu alloy is widely used as a heat resistant material for the electric arcs produced when extremely ultra-high voltage or extra-high voltage circuit breakers are opened and closed. 

 The technology to join arc resistant materials and conductors together is very important to prevent accidents resulting from decreases in joining strength caused by the heat generated by arcs and the types of joint interfaces that discharge heat to the outside.
