Shinwha Intertek, the number 1 company in Korea for the optical film sector, was established in 1977. After developing tape for the Braun tube TV for the first time in Korea in 1983, Shinwha entered the displayed materials business in earnest. After growing into a company specializing in R&D and joining the optical film business for LCD BLU (back light units) in 2004, it grew quickly as a company specializing in display materials.

Through proprietary technological development, it localized LCF-TV optical films in 2005. In 2009, it became the first to develop highly reliable sheets for LED-TVs. From 2012, it user its laminating technologies accumulated through its work on direct LED TVs to develop compound sheets for the time in the world. It is a leader in the LCD BLU optical film market dealing with Samsung Electronics and other major TV makers and LCD panel manufacturers around the world.

Based on this, it is expanding its business fields to the functional tape sectors for mobile OLED using adherence and coating technologies, which are its core technologies accumulated thus far in the business structure that it is currently geared excessively towards LCD related businesses.

In particular, Shinwha Intertek has four locations in Korea and abroad in order to provide prompt technical support by expanding the global supply capacities and location.
