Founded in 1937 as the first steel ship builder in Korea, Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction (HHIC) has spearheaded advances in the shipbuilding industry and contributed to shaping Korea into the world’s foremost power in shipbuilding. With a focus on super large container ships, LNG carriers and large transportation ships, HHIC produces and supplies a wide range of vessels, from tankers to bulk carriers and special vessels, to prominent clients around the world.

HHIC is now preparing for a new tomorrow. We are making the transition from “Korea’s starting point for shipbuilding” to the “center of global shipbuilding industry.” Harnessing our global production network, we will construct high value-added container ships and LNG carriers while building up a strong presence in areas such as VLCC, offshore plants, and FPSO. We will also develop new and innovative technologies required for high valueadded, high-tech vessels to secure global competitiveness. We will develop new and innovative shipbuilding techniques required for cutting-edge, high value-added ships to emerge as a global technology leader.
